Language Institute for Refugees and Immigrants serves refugees and immigrants in the Greater Seattle area by tutoring English as a second language, one-on-one and in small classes, and through caring, helpful relationships with Christian volunteer tutors. Last year Washington State received 3,018 refugees, its largest and most diverse group of immigrants in more than three years. English language acquisition is among the most important factors in their ability to adapt successfully to our culture. Volunteer training provided.
